Teacher David Moore Featured Speaker at Battle of Ogdensburg commemoration in New York

Social Studies teacher David Moore will be the featured speaker at the annual Battle of Ogdensburg commemorating the invasion of Ogdensburg, New York that occurred during the War of 1812. Mr. Moore will be discussing the “Strategic Context of the War of 1812.” Mr. Moore received his Honours degrees in history, political science and education at York University. He has received the Bicentennial Medal, both in the United States by President Ronald Reagan and in Ontario by Queen Elizabeth, for his efforts in historical preservations. He has also lectured in Russia, the Bahamas, Germany, Britain, and across the United States.

At Victus Academy, he teaches Grade 10 History, Civics, and Career Studies, Grade 11 Introduction to Anthropology, Sociology, and Psychology, and Grade 12 Law and World History.
