The founders of Victus Academy are Dan, Rose, Matthew, Taylor and Logan Schmidt, of Kitchener, Ontario. They have a passion for academic and athletic excellence, and they recognized a need for a unique, high performance institution in the broader Waterloo Region. As life-long residents of the Region, they were determined to bring such an institution to the area rather than have some of the best athletes move to other centers. They have teamed up with some of the best academic and athletic partners to proudly form Victus Academy and will continue to be actively involved as it develops with the support of the community.
The founding principles are simple: excellence, dedication and integrity. These principles will guide us as we assist young, driven student athletes by providing them with an institution that satisfies their passion for hockey and their determination to succeed academically. Victus Academy will do everything possible to ensure each student has the opportunity, to the best of his or her capabilities, to excel both academically and physically, through the sport of hockey.
