ACADEMICS X SPORT SPECIFIC DEVELOPMENT
Victus Academy – Blue Chip Sports is a new and exciting opportunity for athletes in the Waterloo Region that combines a strong, flexible education program with a professional sport-specific skills development and strength and conditioning program. During the winter season, students have the ability to play other winter sports without sacrificing their training; completed during the school day. In furtherance of these goals, we have put together a program designed specifically for dedicated student-athletes.
ACADEMIC PROGRAM
The program comprises the following:
- A hybrid online/in-class education with an Ontario-certified teacher providing constant student support and regular communication to parents backed by the Principal at Victus Academy;
- The flexibility for learners to perform their academic courses at a pace that allows them to be successful and receive immediate support, while still ensuring their courses are completed on time;
- The academic program, skill development and strength and conditioning are built into the daily academic schedule, allowing for a structured, disciplined program;
- Participation in field trips, clubs, and other student events with the Victus Academy hockey campus; and
- Access to numerous other resources, such as sports psychologists and SAT prep.
ATHLETIC PROGRAM
- 1 hour sport-specific skill training sessions and 1 hour strength and conditioning sessions 4 days per week through the professional coaches and state of the art Blue Chip Sports Training facility;
- Regular testing and formal, individualized athletic evaluations on skills and strength training;
- Athletic guidance and regular seminars towards enhancing the student-athlete;
COST
The total cost, including the private school tuition and the athletic program is $13,000 + HST. Scholarships and financial assistance are also available.
