Victus Academy Raises over $2000 for Terry Fox Foundation
Victus Academy raised $2050 for the Terry Fox Foundation at their 3rd Annual “Terry Fox Skate,” our unique take on the traditional Terry Fox Run, exceeding our goal of $2000. This is the largest amount Victus has raised in the 3 years (now totalling over $5500). Starting at 8:30, our student-athletes watched a video on Terry’s story and his Marathon of Hope and at 9:00, they hit the ice for 55 laps of the rink (approximately 5km).
Afterwards, they celebrated with some refreshments courtesy of Tim Hortons (thanks to a family for donating) and since we met our fundraising goal, our students elected teachers Mr. Adair, Mr. Moore, and Ms. Koth to receive pies in the face!
