Grade 11 Student Ben McFarlane ready for role with OHL’s Guelph Storm
Grade 11 student Ben McFarlane is in his 3rd year at Victus Academy and was drafted in 2018 in the 6th Round to the OHL’s Guelph Storm. Even though he was up and down with the veteran Guelph Storm team, he still registered 2 assists in 13 games played in the regular season. However, he made the Rookie All-Star Team for the GOJHL (Junior B) after registering 37 points (17G, 20A) in 44 games played and adding another 8 points in 5 playoff games.
He was recently featured in The Record regarding his role with the Guelph Storm and is quoted as saying:
“I just try my hardest at practice,” said McFarlane, who attends Kitchener’s Victus Academy. “It’s fun to push the veterans as best I can.”
