Under his section “Local lad” he writes that “Cambridge Hawks winger Ben McFarlane is one of the best bets from Waterloo Region. He’s small but oozes skill and has a terrific work ethic.” Ben scored 21 goals and 37 points in 32 games, leading his Cambridge Hawks team in goals during the regular season. He also led his team with 10 goals and 15 points in 12 playoff games. He earned player of the game in the OHL Cup and was part of the championship team at the OHL Combine.
