Grade 11 Student Matthew Sop signs with OHL’s Kitchener Rangers
Congratulations to Grade 11 student Matthew Sop for signing with the Kitchener Rangers after a stellar start to his Junior hockey season. Playing for the OJHL’s Mississauga Chargers this season, in 42 games he leads the team in goals (20) and is second in assists (22) and points (42). This past year, he was drafted 7th round (#135 overall).
Matt has been at Victus Academy since Grade 9 and is the 9th player signed to the OHL from our school, 2nd to the Kitchener Rangers (joining Joseph Serpa) and 5th between Kitchener & the Guelph Storm (joining Ben McFarlane, Marko Sikic, and Braeden Bowman). Local teams are certainly taking notice!
