RapidShot Feature: Grade 7 Student Evan Klein
In January, a RapidShot team member came down to Victus Academy to interview Grade 7 student Evan Klein, who has been one of our leading shooters in the school, as a “Player to Watch.” He has shot over 17,000 pucks since joining Victus in September and his shot speed, accuracy, and reaction time are all comparable to even our most senior Grade 11 students. This had led him to become 4th in the world in the Peewee age group (11-12 years old) and since he recently turned 13, has already currently climbed to 5th in the world in the Bantam age group (13-14 years old). He has also noticed that his RapidShot training has translated into a better shot on the ice.
About Victus, he notes that he really enjoys the on-ice and off-ice training and gives credit to all the coaches. In the classroom, it’s the small class sizes that he really benefits from and loves the small-school, community environment.
“I also like all the students at Victus Academy, everyone knows everyone and they are all friendly and nice.”
